Terms and conditions

Hortonsafaris.com reserve the following rights:

To alter route in the itinerary should conditions necessitate for the good of the client.
To replace a faulty vehicle and compensate hours lost, by extra safari hours or days.

Vehicles:- Four Wheel drive (4 WD), L/Rovers and Toyota Land cruisers all safari built.

Maximum number of passengers, 5 per car.

Please note : if you are only 2 persons and you want a private safari, then the tour will be a private tour for just yourselves with the safari driver/guide & 4x4 vehicle only for you.

Payments:- Cash US Dollars, Bank Transfer, Travellers cheques.

RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid before the tour begins. For last minute reservations conditions will change.

For the payment, you will need to send us a deposit 50% of total costs, to secure your bookings via a bank transfer and then you can pay us upon your arrival into Arusha either by cash dollars or travellers cheques!!
We dont accept credit cards, the payment would be done as follows :
Deposit 50% of total cost when booking
Balance 50% before tour begins - either in cash dollars or travellers cheques.

CANCELLATIONS:
Prior to tour departure, for cancellations received by us in writing:-
From booking time to 30 days prior :
30% tour cost
29 -15 days prior: 50% tour cost
14 -7 days prior: 75% tour cost
6 days or less prior or no show: 100% tour cost. There are no refunds for unused portions of the program, and refunds will not be made to clients who do not complete the tour for any reason, whatsoever amendments made to the itinerary once paid for, may result in additional costs.

Alterations of tours:

The right is reserved to change any arrangements should conditions so necessitate.

Insurance:
It must be clearly understood that these are adventure safaris and there are certain dangers and risks which are inevitable. Whilst every care is taken for the safety and comfort of our clients, the company accepts no liability for all or any of the following:

* Damage or loss of property of any client, howsoever caused.
* Sickness, infection, injury or death of the clients, howsoever caused.
* Change of itinerary due to road and weather conditions.
* Damages, directly or indirectly, arising out of delays in departure or arrival
including delays occasioned by the missing of road, rail, ship or aircraft connections.
* War, and other likely calamities which may occurs while on the safari.

All the above and other unexpected situations can arise before or during any type of vacation. Such an event might cause you to cut short your vacation or cause your trip to be cancelled all together. Unfortunately, because of the costs incurred by the tour operator, any cancellation after booking incurs financial penalties, up to and including loss of the entire package price. That is why we strongly recommend a Travel Protection Plan offered by Insurance Agency Inc. For one low per-person price, you can buy peace of mind and keep your vacation worry-free. Ask your travel counsel about it at the time of booking.

Liability:
The company and its agents act only as agent or agents in all matters relating to tours. The liability carried in its own is governed by the respective laws of the country and all claims.
